Once part of a working farm, the old cowshed and dairies have been sensitively converted into a comfortable, welcoming home with masses of character, beamed ceilings and beautiful antique furniture, set in a very private, tranquil location backing onto fields, with ample, safe parking, located less than two miles from Gillingham, Dorset, BR railway station.

The Old Byre is truly a home for all seasons - after a full day’s outing in summer, make the most of the long warm evenings – wander in the fields until dusk, and stroll down to the pub. Enjoy a nightcap as you watch locals engrossed in a darts, or skittles match.

After a full day’s outing in winter, come home and sip a glass of wine or mug of hot chocolate as you curl up by the log burning stove in our antique filled, beamed, drawing room and enjoy Sky TV.

Much of our furniture is antique and some pieces have a story to tell!
